Cookie policy.
This page describes the browser storage used by miriki.io and how optional analytics is controlled by your consent.
What cookies are
Cookies are small values stored by your browser. Websites can use them to remember preferences, maintain sessions and, with consent where required, measure how a site is used. Similar browser storage such as localStorage can serve related purposes.
Strictly necessary storage
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
miriki_cookie_consent | First-party cookie | Remembers whether you allowed or rejected optional analytics so the site can respect your choice. | 180 days |
miriki-theme | Local browser storage | Remembers your light/dark theme preference. | Until you clear site data |
Optional analytics
MiRiKi's starter implementation supports Google Analytics 4. Analytics is not loaded until you explicitly allow analytics cookies. If analytics is enabled, GA4 may set first-party cookies including _ga and _ga_<measurement-id> to distinguish users and maintain session state. MiRiKi does not enable Google advertising signals in this starter.
If you reject analytics, the Google Analytics script is not loaded by this implementation and MiRiKi does not receive analytics page-view data from your visit.
What analytics can show MiRiKi
Where enabled, analytics can provide aggregated information such as pages viewed, approximate geography, device/browser category, traffic source, engagement and selected website interaction events. Website analytics should not be configured to send names, email addresses, contact-form message content or other directly identifying information.
